Our technology has been designed for circumstances where a relatively small number of process variables need to be controlled, and where cost is a key consideration.
This will appeal to managers that are not able to justify investment in more expensive SCADA systems, fixed lines and dedicated hand-held devices.
Immediate message alerts
e-RPM technology enables managers to monitor applications in remote locations, or when they are offsite.
Alerts are automatically communicated to nominated recipients as SMS messages or emails whenever process parameters are exceeded.
Users can manually interrogate at any time analogue readings of process variables and the on / off status of process controls.
Alternatively, updates can be automatically sent to nominated users at predetermined times or frequencies.
Take action remotely
Once an alert has been received, managers can take appropriate action without delay.
Process controls can be triggered via commands communicated by mobile phone, laptop or PC, e.g. start a pump or close a valve.
It is also possible to reset remotely upper and lower control parameters, so that the system continues to run automatically against new settings.
Camera monitoring
In some circumstances there is just no substitute for being able to view the process environment.
e-RPM provides a camera and communications package that allows still images to be accessed by laptop or PC.
Avoid expensive process failure
Taking action as soon as a non-conforming situation occurs minimises the cost impact of an incident and avoids cost escalation due to a delayed response.
e-rpm’s affordable technology makes it possible for managers to introduce remote process monitoring in circumstances where, until now, routine visits to site have been the only realistic option.
Reduce incidence of site visits
Status and condition reporting using e-rpm’s remote technology enables the frequency of inspection visits to be reduced. Using e-rpm remote monitoring, visits are made only when the system identifies a requirement, permitting huge savings to be made in technician time and travelling costs.
GPS tracking
In circumstances where remote monitoring is applied to (say) movable plant and equipment, users may need to monitor location of that equipment at any time.
e-rpm technology includes GPS tracking as an optional facility.
Demonstrate compliance
e-rpm technology greatly minimises the task of logging and retaining data for the purposes of preparing compliance reports.
Analogue readings and records of events are communicated to the user’s own ‘control panel’ located on the e-rpm web site.
Recent histories can be viewed in tabular and graphical formats, and downloads made for archiving purposes.
